Position Overview
The O2C Analyst – Credit Review is responsible for managing customer credit risk within the Order-to-Cash cycle, ensuring that all sales orders are released in line with company credit policies and financial controls. The role focuses on credit assessment, monitoring customer exposures, reviewing credit limits, and maintaining healthy receivables through proactive risk management and collaboration with key stakeholders.
This position plays a critical role in safeguarding company revenue by balancing business growth with prudent credit decisions and ensuring timely collections.
What you’ll do as an O2C Analyst – Credit Review
Employees in this role are expected to apply independent judgment, analytical thinking, and strong commercial awareness in credit decision-making.
Credit Risk Management & Order Review
- Review and release sales orders from the credit hold queue based on customer creditworthiness, exposure, and compliance with internal policies
- Conduct credit assessments for new and existing customers using financial statements, credit reports, and internal payment history
- Monitor customer credit limits, exposures, and risk profiles; recommend adjustments where necessary
- Evaluate and approve/reject orders exceeding credit limits in line with delegated authority levels
Receivables & Risk Monitoring
- Identify early warning signs of credit risk (e.g., deteriorating payment patterns, disputes, escalating exposures)
- Ensure accurate reflection of customer balances for effective credit decision-making
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to balance commercial objectives with risk mitigation
- Provide credit-related guidance to internal stakeholders and escalate high-risk situations appropriately
- Support onboarding and credit setup for new customers, ensuring all compliance and documentation requirements are met
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation of credit decisions, approvals, and supporting analysis
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, audit requirements, and compliance standards
What you will bring to the team
Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in Credit Control, Credit Risk, or O2C operations with credit review exposure.
- Practical experience in:
- Credit assessment and limit management
- Order release from credit hold queues
- AR aging analysis and risk identification
- Strong understanding of:
- Credit policies and risk evaluation techniques
- Collections processes and receivables management
- Ability to identify and resolve:
- Credit limit breaches and risk exposures
- Payment delays impacting order releases
- Account discrepancies affecting credit decisions
Technical Skills
- Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Basic working knowledge of Excel (filters, lookup functions, basic analysis using pivot tables etc.)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management (internal and external)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
